Human Trafficking

Sarim Burney Welfare Trust International is keenly committed to taking all the possible measures and grassroots initiatives to combat slavery and trafficking.

Human trafficking— a heinous crime and a non-bailable offence—has been on the rise for past few years. Trafficked people have little to no access to their human rights. Irrespective of the actively working international organizations, ensuring that the right of trafficking survivors to get legal guidance, the system usually stays unapproachable and the scope of such support services falls short.

This is where Sarim Burney Welfare Trust International comes to help!

Imprisoned Trafficking Victims

Mr Sarim Burney has been making a huge contribution in releasing various prisoners from the Gulf countries. For more than a decade, we have been making backbreaking efforts to help and support the prisoners behind the bars abroad. We have been serving as a point of contact between those prisoners and their families. We are also conducting several meetings with the people and different authorities to create awareness on human trafficking.

At the times of Yemen war, Sarim Burney Welfare Trust International turned all stones to detain the people stuck in the war-trodden country. These people were not just Pakistanis, but Indians, Bangladeshis, and several other captives belonging to different countries. Since human rights know no boundaries, SBWTI worked for all of the captives and helped them reached their country safely.

Besides, the families of the prisoners (falsely accused of different crimes) are also in touch with the Sarim Burney Welfare Trust International. We have been working with the government authorities as well as International human right bodies for the return of these prisoners.

Corruption and Trafficking

Trafficking is a lucrative industry, generating $32 billion over a million children every single year. – Forbes

Trafficking a person without proper identification does not involve any one organization; there are significant connections between corrupt societies, authorities, and the traffickers. Outside parties, other than traffickers, have sheer interest in the process.

This is the reason why Sarim Burney Welfare Trust International faced many challenges when combatting human trafficking and is still facing many. This has been an uphill battle, yet SBWTI has been standing firm against all the hardships and challenges occurring down the road.

Sarim Burney Welfare Trust International has been giving its full potential to bring this often-neglected issue in the limelight for public awareness in order to influence attitudes. Our work has already impacted thousands of lives and hundreds of families across the globe.

Future Focus on Trafficking

Sarim Burney Welfare Trust International is keenly committed to taking all the possible measures and grassroots initiatives to combat slavery and trafficking while supporting the survivors of trafficking cross borders. Once we get successful in bringing our people back, we work on their rehabilitation and reintegration by enhancing their skills, resilience, and confidence required to rebuild their lives and household.

A Savior for the Foreigners in Pakistan

Sarim Burney Welfare Trust International has also helped foreigners stuck in Pakistan in any fortunate situations and paid up heavy fines just to send them back to their home safely. It is our firm belief that everyone deserves their freedom, be it our citizen or foreigners. Our human right activities know no color, race or religion and thus help every human we can without any discrimination.
